Nail files go by Grit. And you can get a little gritty trying to file those nails alright. Well, there are different levels of grit. I bet you never stopped to think about what those levels actually mean, but if you have ever seen 180/180 it means both sides of the nail file are 180/180 grit for every 1 square centimeter. The higher the number the softer the file and the lower the number the sharper your file will be. Higher equals softer and lower equals harder. It’s a tough concept to understand, but once you have it down it’s easier to find the best nail file for yourself.
